Editorial Policy
This page explains how content on iFortaleza is produced, what standards we apply, and how we handle the fact that local information changes over time.
Content standards
Every page on iFortaleza must have a clear purpose. We do not create pages simply because a keyword exists or because it is easy to produce text about a topic. The question we ask before publishing anything is: does this genuinely help a visitor to Fortaleza?
We do not fabricate details. If we do not know the current price of something, we do not invent a number. If opening hours could not be confirmed, we say so. If a place has closed or changed significantly, we update or remove the information rather than leave inaccurate content live.
AI in our workflow
We use AI tools as part of our writing and research process - for drafting, structuring information, generating comparison tables and preparing translations. AI is a production tool, not the editorial voice of the site.
No AI-generated content is published without human review. We do not use AI to mass-produce pages or to fill the site with content that has not been checked for accuracy.
The "Last checked" date
Pages that contain time-sensitive local information - opening hours, prices, transport options, attraction details - carry a "Last checked" date. This tells you when that information was last verified. It is not a guarantee of accuracy, but it gives you a useful indication of how current the page is.
We aim to review time-sensitive pages regularly and update the "Last checked" date when information is confirmed as still accurate or corrected.
Corrections
We welcome corrections. If you find information on iFortaleza that is incorrect or out of date, please use the contact page and select "Correction." Include the URL of the page, what is wrong, and (if possible) a source or firsthand confirmation of the correct information.
Independence
iFortaleza is editorially independent. Paid advertising and affiliate relationships do not influence which places we cover, how we describe them or what recommendations we make. If a page contains affiliate links, this is disclosed on that page and in our Affiliate Disclosure.
What we do not claim
We do not claim to have personally visited every place we cover. Where content is based on research rather than firsthand experience, we try to make that clear. We do not make exaggerated claims about the quality of places we have not independently evaluated. When information is sourced from elsewhere, we note that where relevant.
